To cover additional design costs, the Trust Board wishes to remind landowners that a $100/ha + GST penalty may be imposed when a landowner subscribes more land inside the current command area after June 1 2009, than was previously levied. For example, if you elect to pay for 120 ha within the current command area after June 1 but have only been paying the water user levy for 100 hectares up till then, an additional (20ha x $100/ha) $2000+GST will be levied for this extra 20ha. The penalty includes any earlier levies.
